Taggart’s Obeys the Law

At Taggart’s Remodeling we obey the law! You may not know this but there are important laws set in place by the state of Oregon for your Protection. We make sure to keep your home up to date and we follow all Oregon laws to keep your famly safe for a lifetime.

Contractors Must Have a Valid CCB#
Anyone who receives compensation for construction is required by the state of Oregon (including alterations to real estate) to be licensed by the Oregon Construction Contractors Board.

The Oregon Contractors Board maintains very high standards for contractor licensing. Although they do not require general contractors  (other than plumbers, electricians, and other specialty trades) to have construction training, contractors are required to pass a Board exam prior to receiving their license.

Contractors Must Have Valid Insurance
Licensed contractors in Oregon are required to carry general liability insurance. The exact amount is determined by the type of work they do.

Taggarts Remodeling holds a $1,000,000 insurance policy with Security National Insurance Co.

Contractors Must be Bonded
Licensed contractors in Oregon are required to carry a surety bond (ranging from $10k up to $75k based on their trade), which provides you with financial recourse in case they perform defective work or violate license regulations.

Taggarts Remodeling has a $2,000,000 bond with WESCO INSURANCE COMPANY.
